In April 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asia+: 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Unknown by Tang Zhigang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 75,000.00 (€ 6,975.49), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tang Zhigang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Children In Meeting (3 Long Tables) in October 2008 with an auction result of EUR 6,020,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im April 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asia+: 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unknown von Tang Zhigang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 6.975,49) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tang Zhigang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Children In Meeting (3 Long Tables) im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.020.000,00.
