Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Children in Meeting by Tang Zhigang was sold in the Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2012. The price achieved of HKD 1,460,000.00 (€ 152,093.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tang Zhigang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Children In Meeting (3 Long Tables) in October 2008 with an auction result of EUR 6,020,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Children in Meeting von Tang Zhigang wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.460.000,00 (€ 152.093,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tang Zhigang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Children In Meeting (3 Long Tables) im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.020.000,00.
