In May 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Children in Meeting Series by Tang Zhigang. The result of HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 94,574.78) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tang Zhigang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Children In Meeting (3 Long Tables) in October 2008 with an auction result of EUR 6,020,000.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Children in Meeting Series von Tang Zhigang zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 94.574,78) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tang Zhigang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Children In Meeting (3 Long Tables) im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.020.000,00.
