In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction A Special Selection of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Lotus with Lovely Dragonfly by Tan Oe Pang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,221.67), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Tan Oe Pang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mother and Child in April 2015 with an auction result of CNY 437,500.00 (€ 63,183.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im November 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion A Special Selection of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lotus with Lovely Dragonfly von Tan Oe Pang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 14.221,67) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tan Oe Pang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mother and Child im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 437.500,00 (€ 63.183,12).
