The work The Struggle in the Wilderness by Tan Oe Pang was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. The auction ended at the price of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,337.22), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 120,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tan Oe Pang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mother and Child, which sold at auction in April 2015 for CNY 437,500.00 (€ 63,183.12).

Die Arbeit The Struggle in the Wilderness von Tan Oe Pang wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.337,22) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tan Oe Pang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mother and Child beobachtet, die im April 2015 für CNY 437.500,00 (€ 63.183,12) versteigert wurde.
