Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Phillips held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction, which included the work Untitled (Stripes) by Tala Madani. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,064.00 (€ 3,738.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tala Madani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elastic Pink in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 65,495.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Phillips die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Stripes) von Tala Madani zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.064,00 (€ 3.738,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tala Madani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Elastic Pink im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 65.495,45).
