Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Art Contemporain Day Sale, which included the work Tree Hut In Tuileries by Tadashi Kawamata. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 11,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tadashi Kawamata - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tree Huts Plan, which sold at auction in June 2015 for EUR 43,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Art Contemporain Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tree Hut In Tuileries von Tadashi Kawamata zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 11.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Tadashi Kawamata mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tree Huts Plan beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für EUR 43.750,00 versteigert wurde.
