Auction result misses estimated price range

This work of art by Tachihara Kyosho could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART auction, the work Woodcutter in a snowy landscape changed hands for USD 2,115.00 (€ 2,351.83) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tachihara Kyosho - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shoki on horseback, which sold at auction in March 2003 for USD 5,736.00 (€ 5,262.39).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Dieses Kunstwerk von Tachihara Kyosho konnte im Oktober 2001 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART wechselte die Arbeit Woodcutter in a snowy landscape für USD 2.115,00 (€ 2.351,83) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tachihara Kyosho mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Shoki on horseback beobachtet, die im März 2003 für USD 5.736,00 (€ 5.262,39) versteigert wurde.
