Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Recluses fishing on a river in autumn by Tachihara Kyosho for USD 1,792.50 (€ 1,458.27). This price was achieved in the auction Japanese and Korean Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tachihara Kyosho - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shoki on horseback, which sold at auction in March 2003 for USD 5,736.00 (€ 5,262.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Recluses fishing on a river in autumn von Tachihara Kyosho für USD 1.792,50 (€ 1.458,27) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tachihara Kyosho mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Shoki on horseback beobachtet, die im März 2003 für USD 5.736,00 (€ 5.262,39) versteigert wurde.
