This artwork by Sylvia Sleigh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bukowski in Stockholm in November 2021. In the Contemporary Art & Design auction, the work "Mel Pekarsky Tondo" sold for SEK 105,000.00 (€ 10,242.31) - well above the upper estimate of SEK 50,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sylvia Sleigh; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Triple Head of Scott Burton sold at auction in July 2015 with the realized price of USD 21,250.00 (€ 19,269.13).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Sylvia Sleigh erzielte im November 2021 bei Bukowski in Stockholm einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design wurde die Arbeit "Mel Pekarsky Tondo" für SEK 105.000,00 (€ 10.242,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von SEK 50.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sylvia Sleigh; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Triple Head of Scott Burton im Juli 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 19.269,13).
