Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Albatross by Sven Berlin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,582.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Sven Berlin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Teenagers in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,598.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Albatross von Sven Berlin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.582,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sven Berlin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Teenagers im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.598,03).
