Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pietà by Sven Berlin was sold in the Modern | British & Irish Art auction at Christies in London in April 2019. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,979.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sven Berlin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Teenagers, which sold at auction in November 2016 for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,598.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pietà von Sven Berlin wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Modern | British & Irish Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.979,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sven Berlin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Teenagers beobachtet, die im November 2016 für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.598,03) versteigert wurde.
