Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work FV 3689 D (from Paisatge d'Interior) by Susana Solano was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 8,174.75). Admittedly, works by Susana Solano have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La lluna N.1 in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 36,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit FV 3689 D (from Paisatge d'Interior) von Susana Solano im Februar 2008 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 8.174,75) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Susana Solano auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La lluna N.1 im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 36.000,00.
