Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Que Duda Cabe #3 by Susana Solano was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 14,340.00 (€ 11,954.98). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Susana Solano - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La lluna N.1, which sold at auction in October 2005 for EUR 36,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Que Duda Cabe #3 von Susana Solano im November 2003 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 14.340,00 (€ 11.954,98) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Susana Solano mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La lluna N.1 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2005 für EUR 36.000,00 versteigert wurde.
