Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2001 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Lena on the Bully Box, Essex Junction, VT from Carnival Strippers by Susan Meiselas. The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,875.00 (€ 6,620.46), 18% above the upper estimate. Other works by Susan Meiselas have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,117.07) in May 2018 for the work Matagalpa, Nicaragua.

Im April 2001 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lena on the Bully Box, Essex Junction, VT from Carnival Strippers von Susan Meiselas zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 5.875,00 (€ 6.620,46) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Susan Meiselas haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.117,07) im Mai 2018 für die Arbeit Matagalpa, Nicaragua beobachtet.
