Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Delightful Harmony - Fine Modern and Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy by Sun Xingyan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 5,750.00 (€ 570.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sun Xingyan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Couplet Calligraphy in Seal Script in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,608.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Delightful Harmony - Fine Modern and Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy von Sun Xingyan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 5.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 5.750,00 (€ 570,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sun Xingyan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Couplet Calligraphy in Seal Script im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.608,29).
