The work Calligraphy in Seal Script "Ode to the Great River" by Sun Xingyan was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2010. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,175.21), 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sun Xingyan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Couplet Calligraphy in Seal Script sold at auction in May 2018 with the realized price of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,608.29).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Seal Script "Ode to the Great River" von Sun Xingyan wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.175,21) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sun Xingyan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Couplet Calligraphy in Seal Script im Mai 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.608,29).
