This artwork by Sui Jianguo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. In the Moutarderie Nationale: The Gillion Crowet Collection auction, the work Made In China (Two Works) sold for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 57,149.26) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sui Jianguo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Shadow Of The Century (Set Of Ten) in October 2011 with an auction result of HKD 5,780,000.00 (€ 533,780.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sui Jianguo erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Moutarderie Nationale: The Gillion Crowet Collection wurde die Arbeit Made In China (Two Works) für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 57.149,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sui Jianguo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Shadow Of The Century (Set Of Ten) im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.780.000,00 (€ 533.780,74).
