Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Dying Slave (Two Works) by Sui Jianguo. The price achieved of HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 119,706.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sui Jianguo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Shadow Of The Century (Set Of Ten) in October 2011 with an auction result of HKD 5,780,000.00 (€ 533,780.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dying Slave (Two Works) von Sui Jianguo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 119.706,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sui Jianguo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Shadow Of The Century (Set Of Ten) im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.780.000,00 (€ 533.780,74).
