Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Hemmit's Vibrissae by Sue Williams. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 40,320.00 (€ 34,335.35). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sue Williams - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work New Yellow and Orange, which sold at auction in September this year for USD 127,000.00 (€ 119,992.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hemmit's Vibrissae von Sue Williams zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 40.320,00 (€ 34.335,35) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Sue Williams mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit New Yellow and Orange beobachtet, die im September diesen Jahres für USD 127.000,00 (€ 119.992,44) versteigert wurde.
