Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Blossom; And Rhododendrum by Stuart Maxwell Armfield for GBP 180.00 (€ 262.15). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stuart Maxwell Armfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Prayer in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 15,120.00 (€ 13,060.38).
