Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dades Gorge, South Morocco by Stuart Maxwell Armfield was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25.00 – 250.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 58.75 (€ 84.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stuart Maxwell Armfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Prayer in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 15,120.00 (€ 13,060.38).
