Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Diptyk by Stig Sjölund was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 10,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 8,000.00 (€ 829.82). Admittedly, works by Stig Sjölund have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Utan titel in May 2011 with an auction result of SEK 31,000.00 (€ 3,489.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Diptyk von Stig Sjölund im Mai 2010 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 10.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 8.000,00 (€ 829,82) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stig Sjölund auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Utan titel im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 31.000,00 (€ 3.489,01).
