Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Squeaky Fromme by Steven Parrino was auctioned at Phillips in London in March 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 161,000.00 (€ 188,676.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Steven Parrino - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Idol/Idiot, which sold at auction in June 2013 for GBP 566,500.00 (€ 661,206.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Squeaky Fromme von Steven Parrino kam im März 2017 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 161.000,00 (€ 188.676,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Steven Parrino mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Idol/Idiot beobachtet, die im Juni 2013 für GBP 566.500,00 (€ 661.206,96) versteigert wurde.
