Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work The Rogue's Progress by Steven Campbell for USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,322.85). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Steven Campbell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work To The North With Good Luck in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 34,100.00 (€ 43,376.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Rogue's Progress von Steven Campbell für USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.322,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Steven Campbell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit To The North With Good Luck im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.100,00 (€ 43.376,69).
