Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Steven Campbell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2010. In the Lehman Brothers: Artwork and Ephemera auction, the work Study for an Allegory sold for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,626.42) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Steven Campbell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work To The North With Good Luck in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 34,100.00 (€ 43,376.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Steven Campbell erzielte im September 2010 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Lehman Brothers: Artwork and Ephemera wurde die Arbeit Study for an Allegory für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.626,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Steven Campbell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit To The North With Good Luck im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.100,00 (€ 43.376,69).
