Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Steven Campbell could be acquired at Sothebys in London in May 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Scottish Pictures auction, the work The Blind Magician changed hands for GBP 14,900.00 (€ 18,953.45) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Steven Campbell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work To The North With Good Luck, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 34,100.00 (€ 43,376.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Steven Campbell konnte im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Scottish Pictures wechselte die Arbeit The Blind Magician für GBP 14.900,00 (€ 18.953,45) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Steven Campbell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit To The North With Good Luck beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 34.100,00 (€ 43.376,69) versteigert wurde.
