Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work The Girl at Dawn/Sunset Gate by Steven Campbell. The price achieved of GBP 6,375.00 (€ 7,417.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Steven Campbell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work To The North With Good Luck in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 34,100.00 (€ 43,376.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Girl at Dawn/Sunset Gate von Steven Campbell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.375,00 (€ 7.417,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Steven Campbell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit To The North With Good Luck im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.100,00 (€ 43.376,69).
