Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Dream Of Every Ostrich Is To Own Its Own Home by Steven Campbell was sold in the 20th Century British and Irish Art auction at Sothebys in Olympia in November 2006. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,474.26). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Steven Campbell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work To The North With Good Luck, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 34,100.00 (€ 43,376.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Dream Of Every Ostrich Is To Own Its Own Home von Steven Campbell wurde im November 2006 in der Auktion 20th Century British and Irish Art bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.474,26) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Steven Campbell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit To The North With Good Luck beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 34.100,00 (€ 43.376,69) versteigert wurde.
