A top price for Steve McQueen - as previously expected
The work More by Steve McQueen was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in London in May 2021. The price achieved of GBP 22,680.00 (€ 26,388.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, More is the most expensive artwork by Steve McQueen that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit More von Steve McQueen wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.680,00 (€ 26.388,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist More das teuerste Kunstwerk von Steve McQueen, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
