Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Post Office, Georgetown (Don'T Delay Mail Today) by Stevan Dohanos. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 21,250.00 (€ 15,710.48). Admittedly, works by Stevan Dohanos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Art Lover (Tired Museum Feet) in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 108,013.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Post Office, Georgetown (Don'T Delay Mail Today) von Stevan Dohanos zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 21.250,00 (€ 15.710,48) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stevan Dohanos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Art Lover (Tired Museum Feet) im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 108.013,46).
