Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Tomas by Stephen Scott Young. The price achieved of USD 43,000.00 (€ 27,634.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Stephen Scott Young have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Creole Girl (Red Bows) in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 348,000.00 (€ 258,678.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tomas von Stephen Scott Young zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 43.000,00 (€ 27.634,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stephen Scott Young auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Creole Girl (Red Bows) im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 348.000,00 (€ 258.678,36).
