Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Stephen S. Pace was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 11,250.00 (€ 7,143.76). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stephen S. Pace - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in January 2008 for USD 39,400.00 (€ 26,548.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Stephen S. Pace im Juni 2008 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 11.250,00 (€ 7.143,76) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Stephen S. Pace mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Januar 2008 für USD 39.400,00 (€ 26.548,08) versteigert wurde.
