Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blacklight Landscape by Stephen Hannock was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,200.00 (€ 9,880.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stephen Hannock achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Oxbow, for Lane Faison with Betty and Agnes Mongan (Mass MoCA #147) in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 250,075.00 (€ 224,302.63).
