Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Stephen Greene could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist and Modern, Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work Pleasure Dome #12 changed hands for USD 587.50 (€ 637.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stephen Greene achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Carrying the Cross in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 22,575.00 (€ 20,248.45).
