Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Point by Stephen Greene was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in November last year. It achieved a price of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,458.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Admittedly, works by Stephen Greene have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Carrying the Cross in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 22,575.00 (€ 20,248.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Point von Stephen Greene kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.458,30) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stephen Greene auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Carrying the Cross im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.575,00 (€ 20.248,45).
