Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Man And Shadow by Stephen Conroy was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 28,964.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Stephen Conroy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L.R. in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 86,900.00 (€ 124,794.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Man And Shadow von Stephen Conroy kam im Dezember 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 28.964,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stephen Conroy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L.R. im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 86.900,00 (€ 124.794,12).
