Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Sten Eklund was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SEK 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of SEK 65,000.00 (€ 6,999.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sten Eklund - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Kullahusets hemlighet" (Kullahussviten), which sold at auction in October this year for SEK 300,000.00 (€ 25,406.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sten Eklund kam im Mai 2016 bei Bukowski in Stockholm zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von SEK 65.000,00 (€ 6.999,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Sten Eklund mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Kullahusets hemlighet" (Kullahussviten) beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für SEK 300.000,00 (€ 25.406,89) versteigert wurde.
