This artwork by Stefano Ussi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Rome in December 2003. In the ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO auction, the work Carovana nei pressi del Cairo, 1874 sold for EUR 63,240.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Stefano Ussi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Vers la Mecque sold at auction in December 2018 with the realized price of EUR 123,500.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Stefano Ussi erzielte im Dezember 2003 bei Christies in Rom einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO wurde die Arbeit Carovana nei pressi del Cairo, 1874 für EUR 63.240,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 35.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Stefano Ussi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Vers la Mecque im Dezember 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 123.500,00.
