Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Stanton Macdonald-Wright could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Sychromatist Abstraction changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,043.83) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stanton Macdonald-Wright achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still-Life Synchromy in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,740,633.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Stanton Macdonald-Wright konnte im März 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art wechselte die Arbeit Sychromatist Abstraction für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.043,83) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stanton Macdonald-Wright erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still-Life Synchromy im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.165.000,00 (€ 1.740.633,54).
