Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Persimmons by Stanton Macdonald-Wright was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2012. The price achieved of USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,393.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stanton Macdonald-Wright achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still-Life Synchromy in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,740,633.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Persimmons von Stanton Macdonald-Wright kam im April 2012 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.393,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stanton Macdonald-Wright erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still-Life Synchromy im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.165.000,00 (€ 1.740.633,54).
