Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings Including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works, which included the work Polish forest by Stanisław Żukowski. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 26,250.00 (€ 31,368.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stanisław Żukowski achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior Of The Picture Gallery, Pavlovsk in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 265,250.00 (€ 335,284.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings Including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works durch, in der auch die Arbeit Polish forest von Stanisław Żukowski zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 26.250,00 (€ 31.368,71) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stanisław Żukowski erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Interior Of The Picture Gallery, Pavlovsk im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 265.250,00 (€ 335.284,89).
