The work La Mère by Sorel Etrog was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale - Morning Session auction at Phillips in New York in November 2017. It achieved a price of USD 47,500.00 (€ 39,922.68), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sorel Etrog - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Family Group, which sold at auction in November 2013 for USD 161,000.00 (€ 118,330.15).

Die Arbeit La Mère von Sorel Etrog wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale - Morning Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 39.922,68) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Für andere Arbeiten von Sorel Etrog mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Family Group beobachtet, die im November 2013 für USD 161.000,00 (€ 118.330,15) versteigert wurde.
