Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sophie Taeuber-Arp achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2015. In the Impressionist/Modern Works on Paper auction, the work Collage (Etude pour L'Aubette) sold for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 34,471.29) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sophie Taeuber-Arp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composition dans un cercle blanc sur fond noir in February 2019 with an auction result of GBP 187,500.00 (€ 218,725.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sophie Taeuber-Arp erzielte im Februar 2015 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist/Modern Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Collage (Etude pour L'Aubette) für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 34.471,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sophie Taeuber-Arp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composition dans un cercle blanc sur fond noir im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 187.500,00 (€ 218.725,28).
