Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia, which included the work Writing Time With Water (96 Photos) by Song Dong. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,917.90). Admittedly, works by Song Dong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stamping On Water (Set Of 36) in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 126,488.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Writing Time With Water (96 Photos) von Song Dong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 36.000,00 (€ 26.917,90) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Song Dong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stamping On Water (Set Of 36) im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 126.488,82).
