Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Sothebys in Dubai held the auction Boundless: Dubai, which included the work Iranian untitled (Abstract Series) by Sohrab Sepehri. It changed hands for a price of USD 112,500.00 (€ 94,553.71) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 90,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sohrab Sepehri have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (From The Tree Trunks Series) in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 409,250.00 (€ 471,871.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in Dubai die Auktion Boundless: Dubai durch, in der auch die Arbeit Iranian untitled (Abstract Series) von Sohrab Sepehri zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 94.553,71) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 90.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sohrab Sepehri auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (From The Tree Trunks Series) im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 409.250,00 (€ 471.871,67).
