This artwork by Sohrab Sepehri achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2020. In the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction, the work without title sold for GBP 23,940.00 (€ 26,583.33) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sohrab Sepehri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (From The Tree Trunks Series) in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 409,250.00 (€ 471,871.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sohrab Sepehri erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 23.940,00 (€ 26.583,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sohrab Sepehri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (From The Tree Trunks Series) im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 409.250,00 (€ 471.871,67).
