In October 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included this untitled work by Sohrab Sepehri. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,970.00 (€ 13,291.66), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sohrab Sepehri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (From The Tree Trunks Series) in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 409,250.00 (€ 471,871.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sohrab Sepehri zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 11.970,00 (€ 13.291,66) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sohrab Sepehri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (From The Tree Trunks Series) im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 409.250,00 (€ 471.871,67).
