Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (From the Abstract Tree Series) by Sohrab Sepehri was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Bonhams in London in May this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 76,600.00 (€ 89,124.61) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sohrab Sepehri have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (From The Tree Trunks Series) in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 409,250.00 (€ 471,871.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (From the Abstract Tree Series) von Sohrab Sepehri wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 76.600,00 (€ 89.124,61) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sohrab Sepehri auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (From The Tree Trunks Series) im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 409.250,00 (€ 471.871,67).
