Auction result well in line with expectations
The work House Of Kashan by Sohrab Sepehri was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Christies in London in November 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 112,500.00 (€ 125,587.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sohrab Sepehri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (From The Tree Trunks Series), which sold at auction in October 2010 for GBP 409,250.00 (€ 471,871.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit House Of Kashan von Sohrab Sepehri wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 112.500,00 (€ 125.587,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Sohrab Sepehri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (From The Tree Trunks Series) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2010 für GBP 409.250,00 (€ 471.871,67) versteigert wurde.
